By home size

Standard, deep and move-out prices side by side

Home sizeStandardDeepMove-out
Studio / 1 bedroom$200$300$400
2 bedrooms$240$360$470
3 bedrooms$290$440$560
4+ bedrooms$350$520$650

A deep clean costs about half again as much as a standard clean because it adds the slow work: baseboards, door frames, vents, grout and built-up grease. A move-out clean adds the inside of the oven, fridge, cabinets and closets, which is why it costs the most.

Recurring cleaning

What house cleaning costs per month

Recurring visits cost the same per visit as a one-time standard clean. The monthly cost depends on how often we come (a year has 52 weeks, so weekly works out to about 4.3 visits a month and every other week to about 2.2):

Home sizeWeeklyEvery other weekMonthly
Studio / 1 bedroomabout $867about $433$200
2 bedroomsabout $1,040about $520$240
3 bedroomsabout $1,257about $628$290
4+ bedroomsabout $1,517about $758$350

Every other week is what most households settle on: the home never falls far enough behind to need a deep clean, and it costs about half of weekly.

What moves the price

What makes a house cleaning cost more

  • Extra bathrooms: +$35 each on a standard clean, +$50 on a deep or move-out clean.
  • Add-ons: inside the oven +$35, inside the fridge +$35, inside cabinets +$40, interior windows +$45.
  • Pets in the home: +$15, for the extra hair on floors and furniture.
  • Condition: a home that hasn’t been professionally cleaned in a few months needs a deep clean first, not a standard one.

Things that don’t change our price: which city in the Sacramento area you live in, the day of the week, or how long the crew takes.

Flat price or hourly?

Why we price by the home, not by the hour

Some cleaners quote an hourly rate. An hourly quote is hard to compare, because the total depends on how many people come and how fast they work, and you only find out at the end. A flat price by bedrooms and bathrooms tells you the total before you book, and a slow visit is our problem, not yours.

If you’re comparing an hourly quote with ours, ask how many hours they expect for your home and how many cleaners are coming, then multiply.

An honest opinion

When a deep clean is worth it, and when it isn’t

A deep clean is worth it for a first visit, after a few months without professional cleaning, before hosting, or when you’re moving out. It’s wasted money if the home was professionally cleaned in the last month or two and only needs its regular clean. In that case book the standard clean and add the one or two extras you actually need, like inside the oven.

Comparing quotes

Five questions to ask any Sacramento cleaning company

  1. 1Is the price per visit or per hour, and is it written down before the visit?
  2. 2How many bathrooms does the price include?
  3. 3Is the inside of the oven and fridge included, or an add-on?
  4. 4Who does the cleaning: the company’s own crew, or someone booked through an app or a referral agency?
  5. 5What happens if something is missed?

Our answers: per visit, published on the site; one bathroom for 1–2 bedrooms and two for 3–4; oven and fridge are add-ons except on move-out cleans; our own crew; and a free re-clean if you tell us within 24 hours.

Compared with the market

How our prices compare with national averages

National 2026 pricing guides put a standard house cleaning at roughly $120 to $280 per visit, a deep clean at 50% to 100% more than that, a move-out clean at about $250 to $600, and hourly rates around $30 to $75 per cleaner.

ServiceNational rangeApex Home Point
Standard clean$120–$280$200–$350
Deep clean50%–100% above standard$300–$520
Move-out clean$250–$600$400–$650

Our standard prices sit in the middle to upper part of the national range, and our move-out prices toward the top, because every move-out includes the inside of the oven, fridge, cabinets and closets, which many companies charge for separately. National averages also include lower-cost regions; California prices generally run higher than the national figure.

Read the fine print

Costs that don’t show up in some cleaning quotes

When you compare quotes, look for these. Some companies include them, some don’t:

  • Hourly minimums: a two- or three-hour minimum turns a small job into a bigger bill.
  • Trip or travel fees for homes outside a central area.
  • Supplies: some independent cleaners expect you to provide products and a vacuum.
  • Cancellation and lockout fees if the cleaner can’t get in.
  • First-visit surcharges, sometimes called a “first clean” or “initial clean” fee.
  • Inside the oven, fridge and cabinets, which are often extras even on deep cleans.

Our prices include supplies and equipment, there is no travel fee within our service area, and add-ons are listed on the price page.

An independent cleaner you trust can be a great deal. A company makes more sense when you want consistency without depending on one person, or when a landlord, HOA or building needs proof of insurance.

Spend less

Five ways to pay less for house cleaning

  1. 1Book often enough that every visit is a standard clean. Letting it slide means paying for a deep clean to catch up.
  2. 2Pick up before the crew arrives, so the time goes to cleaning, not moving things.
  3. 3Add extras only when you need them: inside the oven before the holidays, not every visit.
  4. 4If your home is small and lightly used, try monthly visits with ten minutes of daily upkeep.
  5. 5Ask about your thank-you coupon after a completed job and use it on the next booking.

Your kind of home

What changes the cost in different Sacramento homes

HomeWhat takes the time
Downtown or Midtown apartmentSmall, quick to clean; parking and building access are the main variables
Older bungalow (Land Park, East Sacramento)Original tile and grout, wood windows, more detail work in a smaller space
Ranch home (Carmichael, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights)Long hallways and more floor area per bedroom
Newer two-story (Natomas, Elk Grove, Folsom)Stairs, more bathrooms, high ceilings and fans

Our price is still set by bedrooms and bathrooms, so you don’t pay more for an older home. What these differences decide is whether a standard clean is enough or the first visit should be a deep clean.

No surprises

Do prices go up on weekends or holidays?

Not with us. The price for a home is the same on a Tuesday as on a Saturday, and the same before Thanksgiving as in February. What changes in busy times is availability, so book early for weekends, holidays and the last days of the month.
