| Packed two-car garage | Full truck | $450–$600 |

Appliances with refrigerant (fridges, freezers, AC units) carry a disposal fee because the refrigerant has to be recovered by a certified recycler.
How it works
How junk removal is priced
Junk removal is usually priced by how much of the truck your items fill, because disposal sites charge by weight and volume. You can text us a photo for a price range, and the crew confirms the price on site before lifting anything. If you add items on the day, the price changes only with the extra truck space.
What’s included in that price: the crew carrying everything out from wherever it is, loading, the drive, disposal fees for ordinary items, and a sweep of the area. Only the appliance and hot tub charges above are extra.
Spend less
Four ways to pay less for junk removal
- 1Group it into one visit. The minimum load fee applies once, so two small pickups cost more than one bigger one.
- 2Use your free city pickup for things you can carry to the curb yourself (see the bulky pickup guide).
- 3Sell or give away what still works before we come; less truck space means a lower price.
- 4Book the clean with the haul-out when you’re moving or selling, so you only schedule one crew.
Compared with the market
How Sacramento junk removal prices compare
National pricing guides put a single-item pickup at roughly $79 to $150, a half truckload at about $200 to $400 and a full truckload at around $600 to $800, with averages near $225 to $250 per job. Prices in big coastal cities run higher.

| Load | National range | Apex Home Point |
|---|---|---|
| Single item / minimum load | $79–$150 | $75–$150 |
| Half truck | $200–$400 | $250–$375 |
| Full truck | $600–$800 | $450–$600 |
Our full-truck price sits below the national range, and the smaller loads within it. The exact price is confirmed on site before anything is loaded.

Ask before you book
Extra charges to ask any junk hauler about
- Minimum charges: what does the smallest job cost?
- Appliance and refrigerant fees: refrigerators, freezers and AC units cost more to dispose of legally.
- Mattress, tire and electronics fees: some haulers add per-item charges.
- Heavy materials: concrete, dirt, roofing and tile are priced differently from household junk.
- Labor or stairs fees: does the price include carrying items down from upstairs?
- Disposal: is it included, or added after the dump run?
With us, the truck-space price includes the crew, loading, the drive and disposal of ordinary items. Appliances with refrigerant have a $25–$75 fee, and hot tubs are priced on their own.
Other options
Dumpster rental, a dump run or a junk removal crew?
| Dumpster rental | Your own dump run | Junk removal crew | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who loads it | You | You | The crew |
| Best for | Remodels and long projects | A few items and a truck you already have | Furniture, appliances and one-day cleanouts |
| Watch out for | Weight limits, banned items, a bin on your driveway for days, possible street permits | Several trips, separate stops for appliances, e-waste and mattresses | Price: compare by truck space |
| Time | Days to weeks | Hours per trip | Usually one visit |
For a remodel that produces debris for weeks, a dumpster usually wins. For a garage, a move or a cleanout that needs to be done in a day, a crew usually wins, because nobody in the family spends a weekend lifting.
More items
More junk removal prices by item
| Item | Usual load | Price range |
|---|---|---|
| Treadmill or elliptical | Minimum to ¼ truck | $75–$250 |
| Barbecue grill (propane tank removed) | Minimum load | $75–$150 |
| Dining table and chairs | ¼ truck | $150–$250 |
| Patio furniture set | ¼ truck | $150–$250 |
| Bunk bed or bedroom set | ¼ to ½ truck | $150–$375 |
| Office desk and filing cabinets | ¼ to ½ truck | $150–$375 |
| Carpet and pad from one or two rooms | ¼ truck | $150–$250 |
| Storage unit, 5×10 | ½ truck | $250–$375 |
Each range depends on how much else goes on the same load. Several items together usually cost less than booking them one at a time.
Why prices differ
What makes one load cost more than another
- Volume: how much of the truck it fills. This sets the price tier.
- Weight: dirt, concrete, roofing and tile are heavy for their size and cost more to dispose of.
- Special handling: refrigerant appliances, hot tubs and anything that has to be cut apart.
- Access: a couch in a third-floor walk-up takes longer than one in a garage, though our tier prices include carrying it out.
If you text a photo of the items and the path out, the range you get back already accounts for all four.
For landlords and businesses
Junk removal costs for landlords, offices and property managers
Businesses pay the same truck-space prices as homes: $75–$150 for a minimum load up to $450–$600 for a full truck. Full suites and large cleanouts get a firm price after a walkthrough.
For rentals, pair the haul-out with the move-out clean (from $400): one visit, one invoice, and the unit is ready for the next inspection.
